Terms of Service

Last updated: July 26, 2026

Agreement

scanpass (scanpass.us) provides QR check-in tools for in-person events. By creating an account or using scanpass, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Your acceptance is recorded when you sign up.

The service

scanpass lets organizers upload a guest list, print a QR sheet, and check attendees in at the door. The service is currently free. Practical limits apply — for example, 2,000 participants per event, 1 MB CSV uploads, and request rate limits — and may change as the service evolves.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when signing up. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

Your content and responsibilities

Guest lists you upload remain yours. You confirm that you have the right — and any consents required — to upload and process the participant information you provide. As between you and scanpass, you control your attendee data; scanpass processes it only to provide the service to you.

Acceptable use

Don't use scanpass to collect data you aren't authorized to collect, to spam or harass anyone, to probe or interfere with the service, or for anything unlawful.

Availability and changes

We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted service.

Disclaimer

scanpass is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, scanpass will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and scanpass's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to USD 100.

Termination

You can stop using scanpass at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Data handling on termination follows our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we'll update the date above and post the new version here. Continuing to use scanpass after a change means you accept the updated terms.
